What we collect
Account holders (parents and guardians): your name, email address, and a hashed password. People you add: a first name or nickname, a time zone, and the log configuration you choose. Caregivers: the name and role they type, what they log, and basic device details (IP address and browser string) kept with each entry for accountability.
How we use it
To run the service: showing caregivers the right page, producing reports, emailing guardians, and keeping accounts secure. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use log content for anything other than the reports you asked for.
Children's information
Caring Voice is set up by adults about the people they care for, who are often children. We ask for as little as possible: a first name is enough. Guardians control who can see reports and can delete a person's page — and every entry about them — at any time.
Who can see what
- Caregivers with the QR code and PIN see the log page for that one person, for the current and recent days.
- Guardians see reports that were sent, alerts, and settings for the people on their account.
- Caring Voice staff may access data only to fix a problem you report or to keep the service running.
We send account email (confirmations, password resets, invitations) and the reports and alerts your guardians opt into. Each guardian can turn reports or alerts off for each person.
Storage and security
Data is stored on our servers in the United States. Passwords are hashed; PINs are encrypted; connections use HTTPS. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if we learn of a breach affecting your data.
Your choices
You can edit or delete a person's page, remove guardians, change the PIN, and delete your account from the Account page. Deleting an account removes pages you alone own; shared pages pass to the remaining guardian.
